Digital Marketing Specialist

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for the development and implementation of digital marketing focused strategies across all digital media such as social media, landing pages, display ads, search and other digital tactics where assigned to drive the optimal identified results for our potential and current customers in every stage of the customer lifecycle.

  • Responsibilities include working with marketing agencies, IT vendors and internal IT development to improve digital marketing. Will utilize 3rd party/internal platforms, testing and survey tools to improve key performance metrics for all digital marketing experiences they are responsible for.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Efficiently drive awareness and consideration to as many qualified, incremental customers as possible.

  • Develop and manage the strategic digital marketing roadmap to accomplish organizational objectives.

  • Manage the tactical prioritization of digital marketing initiatives while partnering with the business steering committee and IT development teams on execution.

  • Oversee digital marketing campaigns and coordinate the creation of digital content.

  • Manage and improve the traffic to our digital experiences to drive an improved company growth and also driving business efficiencies that impact other company KPIs.

  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine optimization.

  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.

  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success.

  • Develop and distribute frequent analytics reporting to include customer feedback, and overall KPI metrics. Analyze data and make recommendations on enhancements to leadership based on findings.

  • Managing, reviewing and preparing weekly and monthly reports to evaluate production, profitability and growth opportunities.

  • Leveraging survey reports for day to day issue resolution as well as digital marketing improvement.

  • Manage implementation and overall success of Google tagging platforms with internal and external resources.

  • Monitor customer needs and keep current on digital marketing industry standards/trends and respond by making adjustments to strategies.

  • Coordinate compliance with the Legal Dept. Act as the central contact point for questions regarding legal compliance issues regarding our online program.

  • Work closely with the entire Digital team and other departments within the organization to execute on cross functional initiatives.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Requirements

  • The ability to take full ownership an important role in a growing company.

  • At least 1-3 years’ experience in digital marketing, digital communications or comparable marketing field.

  • At least 1-3 years’ experience with digital/platform analytics and the ability to integrate digital/platform metrics into robust reporting (Google Analytics preferred).

  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking abilities.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to assess processes and implement change to improve quality and efficiency.

  • Familiarity with technical issues around web development and ability to work constructively with developers and designers.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Must possess above average interpersonal skills and have the ability to represent the company effectively in public forums and when interacting with potential partners.

  • Insurance industry experience preferred.

  • Requires proficient PC and Windows skills (intermediate level of Microsoft Office applications required).

  • Proficient PC and Windows skills (advanced skills in Excel, Access, SQL, and web analytics tools).

  • Basic understanding is required of mobile platforms iOS and Android, and OS Browsers IE, Safari, Chrome, Firefox.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree required in marketing, computer sciences or related field.

  • Master’s degree in marketing, computer sciences or related field preferred
