Overview: This position provides strategic management direction for software development and manages a large team of developers and their projects through completion; analyzes, designs and develops software enhancements and new modules; manage development projects from initial design through testing or intake projects from Innovation teams for completion.
Manages and directs large team of software developers. Evaluates employee performance, sets expectations and goals for department and individual staff members, recruits, disciplines and trains staff.
Manage Resource planning and forecasting. Align resource capacity to demand and manage accordingly. Tracks and reports on project and work assignments are fulfilled on time. Be the voice of the team to the business and the business to your team. Identify resource conflicts and resolve.
Ensure sufficient processes and tools are in place to meet the demand for software development. Makes sure all team and department processes are followed and adjusted as necessary.
Consult with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers and Support teams to identify business needs and include into project objectives. Aligns business demand with product road map and adherence to standards.
