Required Skills and Abilities
  • Candidate should have at least three years of experience administering and supporting voice over IP, PBX and voicemail systems. 
  • Successful candidate will have an in depth knowledge of VoIP technologies; understanding of and experience with analog, PRI, and SIP; 
  • experience in configuring and troubleshooting various IP phones, including Polycom and Avaya; 
  • and experience in supporting various UC / UM applications including telephone soft clients, messaging, conference bridges, and call control such as SIM ring. 
  • Candidate should be highly self-motivated and directed including the ability to work with minimum supervision; 
  • have the ability to effectively prioritize competing requirements and execute tasks
  • in a high-pressure environment; possess a sense of urgency understanding the need to keep major user tools operational; 
  • have analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to understand and interpret complex telecommunications concepts; 
  • be able to translate customer requested functionality into an appropriate solution; 
  • be able to quickly learn and support new systems and technologies; 
  • possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner in stressful situations; 
  • have strong oral and written communications skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences; 
  • possess a strong customer service orientation; and have the ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 
  • Experience in provisioning user accounts on Broadsoft and Avaya platforms desired. 
  • This position requires after hours, weekend and holiday systems and user support as necessary. 
  • The incumbent will be required to respond to emergency after hours requests. 
  • The Firm will a provide PDA or similar device. 
  • Occasional travel may be required
